Helicopter Skiing In the Valemount area there are several heli-ski operations ranging from the full scale multi-day packages (usually the upscale market) to the day rate operations ( few extras, just excellent skiing) Groups can vary from 3 to 9 and utilize one machine. Options exist to cater to almost any skill level from intermediate up, utilizing the powder (fat) ski. If you are a single skier, or your group does not conform to the machine capacity other options exist. Dream Catcher Inn can provide shuttle service to the heli pads, within minutes of the Inn. Cross Country Skiing Nordic skiing either on competition ski trails, or a more tranquil back-country setting is available within minutes of the Dream Catcher Inn. Mountain touring for the more experienced back-country person is a magical experience complimented by small alpine huts. Guided snowshoe tours Peaceful snowshoe tours of such pristine locations as the Berg Lake trail near Mt. Robson provide the perfect winter experience for the inexperienced winter recreationalist. As many activities are available in close proximity to Valemount and the Dream Catcher Inn we suggest a multi activity package. Packages can be arranged for most any budget, and include any combination of activities. In cases where heli skiing is a key component, we suggest you break up your week to allow other less strenuous activities and or rest days. Flexibility to allow for bad weather is also a good plan. We can assist you in developing your itinerary so that your time, skill, and interests can be accommodated.
